The Construction Laboratory of the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences is located in the Technology Park of the City of Villach in the Science & Energy Labs (virtual walk through the labs) and is represented at this location on a project basis with up to ten employees of the Department of Civil Engineering & Architecture (virtual walk at the campus in Spittal). Among others, the departments of building physics, building materials technology and structural engineering are located here.
In the construction laboratory, research projects are continuously carried out together with universities (Graz University of Technology, University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna) or industrial partners such as Hilti, Sika and Halfen, some of which are also financially supported by the FFG (Austrian Research Promotion Agency) or the Austrian infrastructure operators ASFINAG and ÖBB.
Interreg projects to strengthen cross-border cooperation are also carried out together with partners such as ZAG and the University of Padua.
